Noromectin Oral Plus Selenium is an ready to use solution of Ivermectin 0.8mg/mL with 0.4mg/mL Selenium, as sodium selenate for the use as a broad-spectrum antiparasitic treatment for sheep

Indications

Noromectin Oral Plus Selenium is effective in the treatment and control of the following Gastrointestinal roundworms, including infective 3rd stage – ‘L3’, 4th stage 'L4' and adults (including arrested or hypobiotic stages*):
Haemonchus contortus* Ostertagia circumcincta* Trichostongylus axei, T colubriformis, T vitrinus, Cooperia oncophora, Cooperia curticei,. Nemotodirus Spathiger, N filicollis,) Oesophagostomum venulosum. Strongyloides papillosus, Chabertia ovina and Trichuris ovis.

Lungworms: (immature and mature) Dictyocaulus filaria.

Nasal Bot: (all larval stages) Oestrus ovis.

Itch Mite: Psorergates ovis.

Administation

Noromectin Oral Plus Selenium is given orally through a standard drench gun, it has a wide safety margin and may be used at the recommended dose in sheep of all ages, and in breeding animals

Resistance can develop to any anthelmintic. To delay the onset of resistance:

• It is advisable that a resistance test be conducted regularly when using any parasite treatment
• Before dosing, weigh a group of animals to accurately calculate the dose
• Choose the dose according to the heaviest animal
• Do not under-dose
• Check the accuracy of drench guns regularly
• Do not change between drench families within the same season
• Ask your local veterinarian or animal health adviser about recommended parasite management practices for your area. Follow these recommendations to reduce the potential for resistance to develop.

Withholding Periods

Meat: Sheep producing meat and offal for human consumption must not be slaughtered within 10 days after treatment.

Milk: Do not treat sheep producing milk for human consumption, or within 28 days before beginning lactation for human consumption.
